Can I use Google Voice to fax?
I got rid of my landline a long time ago, but I’d still like to use my fax machine. Is there a way to send and/or receive faxes with Google Voice?
The official answer is no. Google Voice doesn’t support fax over voice and has no settings outlined to make it work. If you’d like to see it happen in the future, you can bring it up on their product forums.
There are some ways that people have found to get around it, but I can’t recommend any of them myself. By all accounts, faxing like this can be unreliable at best, and the feedback I’ve seen indicates that many of the faxes (especially those that are sent) never end up going through. I recommend getting a cheap internet faxing service instead. It’ll be a lot more reliable.
