How do I fax a PDF from email?

I would like to send faxes from my email account as PDFs. Ideally, I would like to attach the PDF to an email without having to log in to any service or use a special website. Is there a free way to do that?

First of all, there’s no free way that I know of to accomplish this. However, the price for the service you’re describing is usually pretty low. Depending on your needs, you may be able to send PDFs as faxes from your email account for as little as $5 or $6 per month. To find the best service for you and an accurate price, you can check out
So, if you’re willing to pay for the service and you really want to fax PDFs through email, you’ll need an Internet fax service that handles email. Providers accomplish this task in a variety of ways, but usually you’ll provide the number you’re faxing to in the email itself or in the recipient field. When you use this type of service, you need to be certain that you follow the provider’s specific instructions for formatting numbers and the fax itself. Incorrect formatting can result in failed faxes.
A couple of services you might try include MetroFax, FaxItNice, and MaxEmail. All three of these services will allow you to fax PDFs from your email account.
Besides email, though, there are lots of ways you can do the same thing for free. For example, FaxZero provides a quick and free solution, but it does use a web interface. However, if you’re mostly faxing from your desktop, there’s a special widget you can use to make the process even faster and easier.
