Service to Upload, Print, and Mail Documents

About a month ago, I found a site that offered the ability to upload a Microsoft word document, and they would print it on their end (anywhere from 1 to 1000 copies), address an envelope, and mail it… for between 80 cents and $1 a letter.

It is driving me crazy that I can’t think of the name of the site now. It was some strange name, I think.

I don’t know which company you’re thinking of, but I do know of a company with a more familiar name – the United States Postal Service – that will do the job, and for considerably less than the price you mentioned. The USPS’s NetPost service lets you mail postcards, letters, booklets, flyers, and other types of printed media. According to the USPS web site, printing and mailing costs are based on the type of document you mail and can range from $0.27 (including postage) for a black and white postcard up to several dollars for a full color booklet mailer. According to the cost estimator, sending a first-class, two-page letter to 10 recipients would cost $6.09, including production and postage costs. (You can also opt for heavier paper, larger envelopes, and certified mail, among other upgrades.) Full-color, double-sided postcards cost 42 cents each.
