Is My AT&T Wireless Phone Compatible with My Fax Machine?
Can a fax machine be connected to the AT&T wireless home phone?
Unfortunately, the short answer is “probably not.” The AT&T Wireless Home Phone is a specific product intended for people who want a home phone that is still portable and that doesn’t have to be plugged into a telephone jack. Instead, it works on cellular signals, just like a mobile phone. While you might think that at least a wireless fax machine could be used in tandem with the home phone, the AT&T website itself is pretty clear in its disclaimer that says “Not compatible with home security systems, fax machines, credit card machines, and medical alert/monitoring systems.”
If you already have an AT&T wireless home phone and still want to do some faxing, I recommend switching to an internet fax provider.
