Is there a way to fax using Verizon Wireless Home Phone Connect?
Unfortunately, the simple answer here is “no.” Verizon Wireless Home Phone Connect’s FAQs indicate that it “doesn’t support incoming or outgoing fax services.”
Now, that question is referring to whether or not the service will work with a traditional fax machine. So if you have one of those, you’ll need a normal phone line to make it work. But, in this age of technology, there might be a way around this.
Specifically, you can do your faxing through the Internet. There are several internet faxing services out there, including MetroFax, which allows you to subscribe to an affordable service and fax to your heart’s content, all without the need for a standard fax machine. Anything you can type up and/or scan into your computer can be faxed via the Internet, and you don’t need a dial tone (or Verizon’s help) to make it happen.
